Emese Sáfrány

Emese Sáfrány: from practice to teaching

Her teaching career developed through dance, Pilates and aerial disciplines, then expanded into training other instructors.

Before the aerial studio

Sáfrány taught creative children’s dance, modern dance and Pilates between 2005 and 2009. She encountered Pilates through dance school and continued studying with different teachers.

Her background included classical ballet, modern ballet, folk dance and contemporary dance. Aerial training later added qualifications in hoop, aerial yoga and aerial hammock.

Building courses for instructors

In 2015 she began teaching aerial dance and developed Body Tone Technika, her stretching method. Instructor courses in that method and aerial hoop followed in 2018.

Her account also dates Aerial Loops teaching to 2019 and hammock and aerial-cube instructor courses to 2020. These courses formed part of the Aleskaaerial Academy’s educational program.

Inside a working studio

A 2020 visit by Budavári Schönherz Stúdió offered another view of AleskaAerial. Its team interviewed lead instructor Pálma Bernschütz at Sáfrány’s studio about aerial sport.

The conversation ranged from first principles to taking part in competitions and addressed misconceptions about the discipline. It presented the studio through a teacher’s explanation of the activity, adding an educational perspective to Sáfrány’s own performance career.
